The Accord Party has criticised the opposition summit held in Ibadan and alleged that the gathering impersonated the party.
Professor Chris Imumolen, national chairman of the party, insisted that the party is not part of any coalition arrangement.
He also claified that the symbols of Accord Party in the Ibadan summit is a misrepresentation of the party’s stance.
“This is not an oversight; it is a misrepresentation. The Accord Party will not be dragged into alliances it neither negotiated nor approved,” he said.
He further issued a 48-hour ultimatum to the conveners and participants of the Ibadan meeting to publicly explain how and why the Accord Party’s identity was used without consent.
“You cannot borrow legitimacy by force. Those responsible must either explain themselves or prepare to defend their actions in court.”
