The Chairman of the National Sports Commission (NSC), Shehu Dikko, has confirmed that all outstanding financial entitlements owed to players and officials of the Super Eagles have been fully resolved, with payments already underway.

Dikko disclosed this while addressing concerns over bonuses and allowances following Nigeria’s participation in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers, assuring Nigerians that the Federal Government remains committed to the welfare of national team players.

According to him, the approval and disbursement process for match bonuses, allowances and other entitlements has been concluded, putting an end to speculation and uncertainty surrounding payments to the team.

“All financial entitlements of the Super Eagles players and officials have been resolved. The necessary approvals have been granted and payments are currently being processed and disbursed,” Dikko said.

He commended the players and technical crew for their professionalism and dedication while representing the country, stressing that timely payment of entitlements is a priority for the NSC under its ongoing sports reforms.

Dikko also reaffirmed the Commission’s resolve to ensure transparency, accountability and efficiency in the management of sports administration, noting that issues of unpaid bonuses would no longer be allowed to linger.

The development comes as a boost to morale within the Super Eagles camp ahead of future international engagements, as well as a reassurance to fans that the welfare of national team players remains a top priority for sports authorities.

Nigeria’s Super Eagles are expected to continue preparations for upcoming AFCON ’25 fixtures and other international competitions, with the NSC pledging full institutional support.
