Oluwatunbosun Awe, an aide to Senator Olajide Ipinsagba, who represents Ondo North Senatorial District has resigned from his position, citing a monthly salary of just N20,000 as unsustainable.

Awe served as the ward liaison officer for Isowopo Ward 2 in Akoko North East Local Government Area of Ondo State.

In his resignation letter, which was made public on Wednesday, Awe stated that the amount was insufficient to cover his basic needs and the responsibilities attached to the role.

His resignation has sparked public discussion around the treatment and compensation of political aides at the grassroots level.
