Nigerian celebrity cryptocurrency entrepreneur Linus Williams Ifejirika, popularly known as Blord, has officially trademarked the name “Ratel” and issued a cease and desist letter to social media personality VeryDarkMan, stopping him from using the name.
Blord shared the news on his Instagram story, stating that VeryDarkMan can only use the name with his explicit approval. He wrote:
“I have directed my SAN to issue a cease and desist to VDM to stop using my brand name ‘Ratel’. He will have to get approval from me henceforth before using that name.”
The move has sparked mixed reactions on social media. The conflict between the two celebrities dates back to October 2025, when VeryDarkMan visited China to assist Nigerian business owners in sourcing goods.
During that trip, VeryDarkMan accused Blord of business fraud and overpricing gadgets, even allegedly petitioning the police to investigate his business practices.
Interestingly, “Ratel” is also the name VeryDarkMan uses for his loyal online supporters, adding another layer to the ongoing feud.
