Nigerian music star Burna Boy has spoken out after reports surfaced that Burkina Faso’s president, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, declined his offer to perform a free concert in the country.
A few days ago, social media was abuzz with news that Burna Boy had planned to entertain the people of Burkina Faso by staging a free show. The gesture was reportedly aimed at connecting with fans and spreading positivity.
However, President Traoré was said to have turned down the offer, stating that the country didn’t need distractions at the moment, especially as it faces serious national challenges, including insecurity and economic pressure.
Following the reports, some people mocked Burna Boy online, calling the situation embarrassing.
In response, the singer fired back at critics, saying he had no regrets about offering to perform and that his intentions were genuine.
