Popular media personality Daddy Freeze has revealed that he married his ex-wife, Opeyemi, because she got pregnant for him.
Speaking in a recent interview with Chude Jideonwo, the broadcaster admitted that their marriage was not based on readiness or compatibility but on circumstances.
“We had no business getting married because we were very young and immature. I was 24, and she was 22 when we married. She was pregnant. If she were not pregnant, I’m not sure we would have gotten married. So, pregnancy was one of the factors that influenced the marriage,” Freeze said.
Reflecting on their failed marriage, Daddy Freeze said it has been nearly ten years since their divorce and accused his ex-wife of denying him access to their children.
“My ex-wife and I are very stubborn. She will not hear, and I will not hear. It was two damaged people in a union. My only pain is that the marriage didn’t work, and I can’t talk to my kids. They’re out of the country. I traced them but didn’t want to sneak up on them. If they want to see me, they can send a DM on social media,” he said.
