Popular Nigerian singer Niniola Apata has shut down rumours claiming she secretly got married.
Speculations about her marital status began circulating online after she appeared to take a break from the spotlight. However, during a recent interview with Yanga FM Lagos, the 38-year-old clarified that she is not yet married and has no reason to hide her relationship status.
“I don’t care whatever anyone says about my personal life. After all, I’m not a 12-year-old. I’m old enough to say whatever I want to say with my full chest. I’m not married,” Niniola stated.
She also dismissed reports suggesting she kept a supposed marriage private to avoid it affecting her music career or performance bookings.
Speaking further, Niniola addressed why she hasn’t collaborated with her younger sister, Teni, saying it would only happen when the timing and circumstances are right.
“Music is business, and there’s no family in business,” she added.
