The Ondo State Security Network Agency has rescued five kidnapped victims during two overnight operations in Akure South Local Government Area.

According to reports, the incident began around 2:00 a.m. on Saturday when health workers on night duty at a health centre in Oke-Ijebu, Akure, were abducted. The attackers reportedly arrived in a large bus, forced their way into the facility opposite Mega School, and took the workers away.

The Amotekun Corps Commander, Adetunji Adeleye, confirmed that three of the abducted health workers, along with two other victims, have now been rescued.

“A 45-year-old man and his 15-year-old son were abducted at Pelebe in the outskirts of Oda Akure Road between 7:30 p.m and 8:00 p.m.

“The victims were, however, rescued by the Rapid Response Squad of Amotekun Corps at about 1:00 a.m after a heavy confrontation with the kidnappers.
