According to a Nollywood source who spoke anonymously, the actor was rushed to the hospital on Monday after his health condition reportedly became critical.
The source disclosed that Alex Ekubo had allegedly been battling kidney cancer before his condition worsened.
Reports claimed that the actor passed away on Tuesday afternoon after spending several hours on life support.
Rumours about the actor’s health first surfaced in May 2025 after he disappeared from social media for several months, raising concerns among fans and followers.
A check by ACCESSPOSTNG reportedly showed that Alex Ekubo’s last post on social media was made on December 30, 2024.
