The Ogun State Ministry of Justice has announced plans to prosecute TikTok creator Ademola Abiodun, popularly known as DJ Chicken, following a series of road accidents that have raised serious safety concerns.
According to the ministry, DJ Chicken crashed into two motorcycles in Sagamu on November 1, 2025, leaving a rider and a female passenger critically injured. Witnesses said he attempted to flee the scene but was stopped by onlookers. The ministry also noted that he was involved in another crash on Sunday in Lekki, Lagos State, where he narrowly avoided hitting pedestrians. This marks his third road incident in just two months.
The government said his repeated reckless behaviour shows a clear danger to the public. It explained that while victims of road crashes can ordinarily seek compensation through civil means, some drivers pose such a high risk that criminal action becomes necessary.
The Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Oluwasina Ogungbade, SAN, has directed officials to fast-track the pending Sagamu crash case to ensure his prompt arraignment. The ministry added that it remains committed to working with law enforcement to protect the public and hold reckless drivers accountable.
