Car dealer and influencer, Ola of Lagos, has denied claims that he owned the Skywise Group property recently demolished by the Lagos State Government.
Addressing the controversy, Ola explained that he only leased a section of the property for his business and never claimed to be the rightful owner.
He also clarified that the demolition was not a personal attack but a result of safety violations discovered by the authorities.
“I need to clear the confusion circulating on social media concerning the demolition of my car lot. I never claimed I was the owner of the Skywise Group property. I only leased a section for my business. The Lagos State Government demolished the building because some safety precautions were not taken, not that I was targeted,” he said.
Ola’s clarification comes after critics, including activist Deji Adeyanju, accused him of trying to take credit for owning the property.
He urged the public to verify information before sharing it online, emphasizing that the demolition was purely a government safety enforcement action.
