The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has officially announced the postponement of its 103rd National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting, originally scheduled for Wednesday, October 15, 2025.
In a statement released on Monday, the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) said the decision was made in light of “recent developments in the Party.” The postponement was approved during an emergency session of the NWC held earlier in the day.
According to the statement, the NWC acted in line with its constitutional powers, citing Section 29 (2)(b) of the PDP Constitution (as amended in 2017).
“All NEC members should please note the postponement and be guided accordingly,” the statement read.
The party assured its NEC members that a new date for the meeting will be communicated in due course.
The announcement was signed by Hon. Debo Ologunagba, the party’s National Publicity Secretary.
The PDP has not specified the nature of the developments prompting the delay, but party insiders suggest the move may be linked to internal consultations or unfolding political dynamics.
