Popular Nigerian singer Aituaje Iruobe, better known as Waje, has revealed that she is officially engaged.
The 45-year-old made the announcement during a recent interview with Hip TV Lagos, simply saying, “I am actually engaged,” without sharing further details about her fiancé.
Although the identity of her partner remains undisclosed, Waje previously stated in an interview that she cannot marry an unsuccessful man, explaining that her age no longer allows her the patience to support someone who is still struggling.
Speaking on The Honest Bunch podcast, Waje also opened up about her past, revealing that the father of her daughter denied responsibility and abandoned her when she became pregnant as a teenager. She added that although he later apologised, he never took responsibility for their daughter — even after requesting a DNA test he ultimately never showed up for.
