At least six health workers were kidnapped during a midnight attack at a health centre in the Oke Ijebu area of Akure, the capital of Ondo State.

According to eyewitnesses, the attackers arrived around 2:00 a.m. in a bus and forcefully entered the facility, which is located opposite Mega School.

The gunmen reportedly gathered all the staff on duty, including interns, and took them away in the waiting vehicle to an unknown location.

Patients who were receiving treatment at the time were not harmed, but they were left shaken by the incident.

Residents in the area described the attack as frightening and worrying. They called on security agencies to act quickly to rescue the kidnapped health workers and prevent similar incidents from happening again.
