Nigerian stars Tems and Burna Boy have set a new record as the African artistes with the most entries on the Billboard Hot 100.

The duo were previously tied at seven entries each with South African rock band Seether. However, they have now broken that tie after earning new entries on the chart this week through their features on J. Cole’s album, The Fall-Off.

‘Bounce Road Blues,’ featuring Tems and Future, debuted at number 34, while ‘Only You’ with Burna Boy debuted at number 78. The new entries bring both Nigerian artistes to a joint total of eight songs each on the Billboard Hot 100 — the highest by any African act.

Tems has now secured three Billboard Hot 100 entries in 2026 alone, including ‘Raindance’ with Dave, ‘What You Need,’ and the newly charting ‘Bounce Road Blues.’ She currently holds the record for the most entries by any African artiste this year.

Meanwhile, Burna Boy has achieved another milestone, becoming the first African artiste to have a song appear on the Billboard Hot 100 for six consecutive years.
