The development was disclosed in a post shared by Zagazola Makama, who cited security sources.
According to the report, the operation began around 4:32 a.m. on Sunday after troops received a distress call about an abduction in the Korpallama area.
Sources revealed that troops of B Company, 144 Battalion, based in Gulak, worked alongside members of the Civilian Joint Task Force to carry out the rescue mission.
During the operation, two victims—Barnabas Apagu, 12, and Ruth Apagu, 10—were successfully rescued.
However, two other victims, Rahila Apagu, 21, and Ijandri Apagu, 19, are still missing, with efforts ongoing to locate them.
