British rapper and Netflix actor Ghetts, whose real name is Justin Clarke-Samuel, has been charged following a fatal hit-and-run that claimed the life of a 20-year-old man in Ilford, East London.
The tragic incident occurred on October 18, 2025, when Ghetts’ vehicle allegedly struck the young man on Redbridge Lane East and failed to stop. The victim was rushed to the hospital with severe injuries but sadly passed away later that day.
The 41-year-old rapper was later arrested and appeared before Stratford Magistrates’ Court, where he was charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving.
According to police, the charge is expected to be upgraded to causing death by dangerous driving during his next court appearance on October 27 at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court.
Ghetts, who recently starred in the hit Netflix series Supacell and is widely respected for his influence in the UK grime scene, has been remanded in custody pending further investigation.
