Celebrity fashion designer Veekee James has confirmed that she is expecting her first child with her husband, Femi Atere.
She shared the news on Wednesday through a post on her Instagram page. In the video, the designer and her husband appeared calm and happy as they proudly showed her baby bump in an intimate moment together.
Announcing the pregnancy, she wrote, “And two shall become three… Indeed, this is what only God can do.”
The touching video quickly spread across social media and served as the couple’s first official confirmation that they are expecting a baby.
Shortly after the post went live, fans, fellow celebrities, and colleagues flooded her comment section with congratulatory messages, prayers, and kind wishes for the growing family.
Before the announcement, Veekee James had not publicly addressed the pregnancy rumours, even though there had been online speculation for weeks. The rumours grew after a popular gossip blog made claims and observant followers pointed out subtle signs in her recent appearances.
Her latest post has now put an end to all the speculation.
Veekee James got engaged to Femi Atere in October 2023. The couple held their traditional wedding in Akwa Ibom State in February 2024 and later had a vintage-themed white wedding ceremony in Lagos.
With the pregnancy now confirmed, many admirers have expressed excitement as the designer prepares for motherhood while continuing to thrive in her fashion career.
