Controversial social media critic, Verydarkman, has vowed to make gadgets cheaper in Nigeria once he returns from China, accusing local sellers of overpricing imported products.
In a video shared online, the activist claimed that many gadget dealers buy their products at low prices from China but resell them in Nigeria at up to five times the original cost.
“A lot of una wey dey for gadget business make una just dey pray,” he warned. “Power bank of ₦36,000 here go for ₦6,000 in China. Original charger wey dem dey sell ₦15,000 na just ₦1,200 for there.”
Verydarkman also dismissed the belief that goods from China are fake, saying most “UK-used” phones sold in Nigeria actually come from China.
He vowed to expose these sellers and make gadgets more affordable for Nigerians, stating, “Una don milk Nigerians too much. When I touch China, everything go cheap. This exploitation must stop.”
The online critic’s statement has since sparked mixed reactions, with many Nigerians expressing support for his mission to lower gadget prices.
