Zamfara Attack Leaves 10 Vigilantes Dead

At least 10 vigilantes have been killed after armed men attacked Damri town in Bakura Local Government Area of Zamfara State.

The incident was revealed in a post shared on X by security analyst Bakatsine on Wednesday.

According to the report, the armed attackers invaded the community and clashed with members of the local vigilante group who were trying to defend residents.

The confrontation reportedly turned deadly, leading to the death of 10 vigilantes.

Bakatsine wrote, “Ten vigilantes were killed yesterday in Damri town, Bakura Local Government Area of Zamfara State, during an attack by armed men. The incident is part of the worsening violence between armed groups and local community defence forces, which continues to affect rural areas across the region.
