Popular Nigerian music stars, Adekunle Kosoko, professionally known as Adekunle Gold, and his wife, Simi, have welcomed twin babies.
The happy news was shared on Wednesday after the award-winning singer announced the birth on his Snapchat story, confirming that their family has grown again.
Sharing his excitement, he wrote, “Asked God for another child and He blessed me double.”
Although the couple has not revealed the gender of the twins, the announcement quickly attracted warm messages and congratulatory wishes from fans, fellow celebrities, and colleagues in the music industry.
Speculation about Simi’s pregnancy had grown in December after she shared a video on Instagram with the caption, “From my baby, for my babies.” The video showed her with a noticeable baby bump, sparking conversations online that she was expecting another child.
The excitement around the couple continued in recent weeks when Simi also drew attention to a scene from Adekunle Gold’s newly released music video, My Love Is the Same, which further fueled anticipation among fans.
Adekunle Gold and Simi, who got married in 2019 after years of friendship and musical collaboration, are widely regarded as one of Nigeria’s most admired celebrity couples. Both artistes were previously signed to X3M Music before achieving major success in their individual careers.
The couple welcomed their first child, Adejare Kosoko, popularly known as Deja, in May 2020.
