Popular Nigerian Afrobeat singer, Afeez Adeshina, professionally known as Destiny Boy, has died at the age of 22.

The news of his death was confirmed on Sunday, January 18, 2026, after a video showing his lifeless body surfaced on social media. The circumstances surrounding his death remain unclear as, at the time of this report, no official statement has been released by his family or management.

Sources disclosed that the late singer’s body is currently being transported to Abeokuta, Ogun State, for burial.
