Super Falcons forward Ifeoma Onumonu has announced her retirement from professional football at the age of 31, bringing an end to a remarkable career that spanned over a decade.
Onumonu, who represented Nigeria on the global stage, featured at both the FIFA Women’s World Cup and the Olympic Games.
At the club level, she played a key role for Gotham FC helping them win the NWSL Championship, and was also part of the Super Falcons squad that lifted the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) title.
In a heartfelt message to fans, Onumonu expressed gratitude for her journey, teammates, and supporters, saying she was proud of what she achieved for both club and country.
